Education-related institutions in ten Brazilian states will be the first to receive the suitcase “Why Poverty ? – Education and Inequality”, released on May 12 by Canal Futura with support from the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA). The material contains books as the Bolsa Família Program: a decade of social inclusion in Brazil – Executive Summary, edited by the WWP initiative, and unpublished articles with suggestions of activities integrated with the school calendar to promote high quality debates on local and global fighting to overcome poverty.

The content includes the international documentaries from the project “Why Poverty?”, shown on TVs in 70 countries, accompanied by critical analyzes that associate them to the Brazilian context. The main book brings a presentation and an article written by the Minister of the Secretariat for Strategic Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic (SAE/PR), Marcelo Neri, who participated in the launching event.
